Brews at Bald Bird's
Tucked back in an industrial park off of Trooper Rd., is a hidden nest of delicious beer. Bald Birds Brewery is staple to stop at before your long commute out of Audubon. Sit back and relax at the bar, on a couch, or outside on their nicely lit patio.

If you are looking for a salty snack, they have a fresh popcorn station near the bar. I will admit to enjoying a bag or three, because I can tell you popcorn is one of my favorite snacks. If you need more than a snack, they have an array of menus for you to pick the perfect order out.
You could have asked me 6 months ago what my favorite beer was, I would say 'none'. Bald Birds Brewing might have had a reason for my change in taste. Super sweet mixed drinks and wine does not sit in my stomach well anymore, and Bald Birds is the perfect place to find less of that.
They have a large selection of signature brews, made in-house. If you like your brew to have a bit of fruitiness to it, I highly recommended the 'Like Like', my favorite. If you know me at all, you know I am obsessed with roses. Want to know what the 'Like Like' is brewed with? Roses. This brew tastes like a rose & chamomile toffee melting in your mouth, with 6.1% ABV. Chamomile is known to ease your stomach and anxiety, so sign me up!
If you enjoy a refreshing farmhouse ale, I love the 'Corporate Complex'. It's not too heavy, and not too light, a perfect balance. I enjoy the name especially in reference to all of the corporate offices surrounding the brewery. This brew is 5.8% ABV.

I think having a brewery with a warehouse aesthetic hiding in the back of an office complex is the most ingenious idea. Majority of employees from the nearby offices have a long commute home, so what better way to wait it out than I brewery right next door? (Don't drink too much though!)
Now for the finale, the 'Ax Battler'. This brew was made to help you have a good time. It is just as bada** as it sounds, and even better tasting. It has a whopping 8.7% ABV, so please make sure to watch how many you drink!

If you happen to not like beer and end up at Bald Bird's Brewery, there is also a selection of mixed drinks, wine, and ciders to pick from. The wine and ciders are usually locally made, so you still will be supporting a local business by taking a sip!

Bald Bird's Brewery holds an array of weekly events, such as Quizzo, yoga, live music and much more. The next event coming up will be Bald Bird's Prom: Enchanted Forrest. I can't wait to go, considering it gives me an excuse to wear one of the many dresses hiding in my closet. It will be great for couples, beer for the guys and everything else for the girls. They're even going to have a live bird from John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove & Valley Forge Audubon Society And catering from Pizza Jawn. Pizza? I'm there.
I am located in Conshohocken, it takes me about 20 minutes to get to Audubon depending on time of day and traffic. I am extremely excited for Bald Bird's to open their next location in Manayunk! They have not officially announced an opening date yet.
